The Department of History, established in 1993, offers undergraduate (UG) courses following a semester system. While are also postgraduate (PG), M.Phil., and Ph.D. programs, the department remains dedicated to providing comprehensive education in historical studies. Interdisciplinary courses involving other departments or units are not presently offered. Emphasizing a semester-based curriculum, the department aims to equip students with a deep understanding of historical events, developments, and methodologies. Through rigorous academic study and critical analysis, students explore various epochs, civilizations, and cultural phenomena, fostering a holistic appreciation for the complexities of human history.
